NetGalley:
Amazon: Far more than I care to list here. I regularly read Ereader News Today which lists Kindle books which are free for a limited time. As such, I "buy" first, review later. This has been a cookbook week. However, here are some I've actually read:
A self-published romance. Good basic concept, likable characters, needs work in the realism department.
Another self-published romance. See my review.
Self-published romance; better written than many. On the explicit side.
This was on sale for $.99 and since I'd read others in the series I grabbed it. It is on the long side and seems (I'm about halfway through) to have some supernatural/divine elements.
Another $.99 book. I haven't read it yet,but looking at the authors, I'd guess a sweet Christmas romance.
My final $.99 purchase. You can guess the plot by looking at the cover.
Hi RAnn,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic haul of books for just one week and it's great to see that you enjoy such an eclectic mix of authors and genres.
My mother-in-law and I have a shared kindle account and I couldn't understand why she was ordering books every single day, I couldn't see that she was reading that quickly.
All was explained though, when she told me about the kindle daily newsletter, which you referred to in your post. Like yourself, she is busy stock piling titles for the future, although even she admits that she will probably never get around to reading them all!!
Enjoy your reading week.
Yvonne
That is a lot of reading for the week! enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! My post reflects two weeks of reading. Please come see what I'm reading now.
ReplyDeleteStrawberry Girl is on my TBR.
Oh my gosh, I loved Strawberry Girl when I was young! I hope it's stood the test of time.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like it would be a smart thing for publishers to find these old children's books and republish them in new editions. Inexpensive, too, I'd think.
ReplyDeleteHere is my It's Monday! What Are You Reading? I hope you will stop by!
Fantastic week in books. I wish I had seen the Wiggs book for .99. I would have grabbed it too. I love her series. Have a wonderful week and happy reading. My MM is here
ReplyDeleteThe upside (and downside..lol) of Kindle...the ease of downloading, followed by a stockpile of titles just waiting. Like a treat.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I'm going to check out some of your links.
And I'm glad you could visit my blog.
You can't go wrong with Linda Lael Miller! :)

I don't think I ever read Strawberry Girl. I wonder how I managed to miss it growing up? I will have to look it up as it seems like it would be a wonderful read.
