My husband and I tried "couch time" from "Growing Kids God's Way"(talking daily without the children for at least 15 minutes) when our kids were 6 and under. It lasted for about a week. lol He wanted to destress from work and talk about home decorating ideas and I wanted to clear up business and children issues that were on the back burner. Realizing that that was probably stressful for him, I let him lead the conversation (being the flexible woman).
