Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Hope everyone had a great week.  I'd like to ask for prayers for all those who are going to be hurt by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.  My husband sells seafood, so we aren't sure how it is going to affect us.  His company has products from all over the world, so we doubt is is a disaster for them, but it will surely hurt, and things were just getting back to the pre-Katrina levels for them. There are so many people whose livelihood is directly connected to the health of the water--fisherman, those who service fisherman, those who pack seafood, some tourist attractions and more.  Of course we need to pray for those who lost their lives on that rig and for their families.

This week I reviewed a charming children's book that points out that in many ways all families are alike, no matter where they live.  All welcome a new baby and God takes care of that new baby.
