Monday Memes

Time for the weekly gatherings of book bloggers.  Mailbox Monday is hosted this month at She Reads and Reads and It's Monday What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Journey.

I only got two new books this week, which has given me some time to catch up.
Emily's Chance: A Novel (The Callahans of Texas)Emily's Chance: A Novel (The Callahans of Texas) is a Christian Western Romance.  It is more preachy than I remember the first one in the series being, but the plot and characters are good.  I'll have a full review up during the blog tour set for October 24.
Waiting, The: A Novel (Lancaster County Secrets)Waiting, The: A Novel (Lancaster County Secrets) A better than average Amish novel set during the Viet Nam War.  It is a romance but also deals with loss of loved ones, both through death and through choices.

As for what I read last week, well, I read both my new books.  I also read
Welcome to HarmonyWelcome to Harmony a mass-market romantic novel set in a small Texas town.  While there are romantic elements, there is a lot more to the plot and it is the first in a series of books.  My Review
Never Too Late (MIRA)Never Too Late (MIRA) is a mass-market romance set in Colorado.  My Review.

Blog tours I'm posting this week (all include reviews)

.House on Malcolm Street, The: A NovelHouse on Malcolm Street, The: A Novel  Christian novel set in 1920's.  My post
.Memory Between Us, A: A Novel (Wings of Glory)Memory Between Us, A: A Novel (Wings of Glory) Christian romance set in England in WWII.  My post.
Simply Irresistible (A Lucky Harbor Novel)Simply Irresistible (A Lucky Harbor Novel) Mass market romance.  My post.

As far as what I'll be reading this week--well, I'm all caught up on tour dates, so whatever is in the house that catches my fancy.  I'll tell you about it next week.

Oh, and I'm trying to get a discussion going about healthcare.  Care to join in?

  3. A Memory Between Us found its way onto my TBR list last week as well. It sounds like a great read. You wrote a wonderful review. Yours is the second post I've come across since I signed up for the giveaway last weekend. It's on its way to becoming a popular read.

  8. Nice collection of books girl.
Going to go read your House on Malcolm Street review next. The cover is haunting with the girl peering at us while being closely guarded by the woman.
