Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Hi, and welcome to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. This is Catholic blogger's weekly chance to share our best posts with each other.  To participate, go to your blog and create a post titled Sunday Snippets.  In it highlight and link to one or more of your posts from this week.  Also include a link to this post.  Then come back here and sign Mr Linky giving a link to your post.  Finally, visit the blogs of other participants and leave comments!

Another week when I've been going crazy with real life rather than blogging.  My son's high school ring day was this week, and I need to write about it, and will, I just haven't gotten there yet.  I have a few book reviews this week, but nothing exceptional or Catholic.  What about you?  How is blogging for you?

  1. Thanks once again RAnn for hosting Catholic Snippets. You keep us on our toes. Hope everyone had a good week. You are in my prayers. I'm praising God for a "benign" test result.

  2. Hi RAnn, thanks for hosting this meme. I really enjoy participating. Are you a speed reader? You read way more books than I think I ever could.

  3. You *do* get through a lot of books, Ruth! :)

  4. It's funny--I know I read faster than most people, but I've read books on speed reading and said "yuck" that would take all the fun out of it. One thing to remember is that most of the books I fly through are simple books with uncomplicated plots--and I'm sure not thinking of themes and symbolism and all that stuff they teach in school.

  6. Thanks for hosting again, RAnn.

This week's theme was Autumn. We have a beautiful YouTube vid of fall scenes, the painting, Under the Harvest Moon by Grimshaw, Wu Men's poem, 10,000 and some scripture on harvest. I also have a summary of the second mansion of St. Teresa of Avila's Interior Castle.

  8. Thanks RAnn,
Only a very brief reflection from me this week. There is however a very good reflection on our website.
If anybody would like, we are also looking for some input on what exactly to do with this website. So any ideas, e.g. forum, Q&A etc., please leave a comment on my blog or use the contact form on the website, would really be appreciated!

Thanks again RAnn for hosting every week without fail!

  11. Just two posts this week. In one post, I reveal something about myself; in the other, written just last night, I share some family news.

  12. It took me a few tries before I managed to post THIS week's blog entries instead of some older stuff.
    LOL!
And yep, I'm planning a post for next week about things that can go wrong when posting.

  17. I wrote about my disappointment and hope when I realized that I did not have a vocation to religious life. I also had a good discussion with other ladies about seeing God's will in seasonal depression and mental illness.
