Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Hello, and welcome to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other.  To participate, go to your blog  and create a post titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In it, discuss and link to your posts for the week--whether they deal with theology, Catholic living or cute Catholic kids.  I'm  mostly a book blogger so my posts are generally book reviews, some Catholic, some not.  Make sure that post links back here.  Once you publish it, come back here and leave a link below.

This week I only had one book review:  After All  is the story of a women who learns after her husband's death that he had an inappropriate relationship with another woman.

I'm glad you are here and if you'd like a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.

  1. As always, thanks for hosting each week, RAnn!

Most notable this week is the 10 Saints I Can't Wait to Meet in Heaven, a guest post and 7QT. :)

Blessed feast of Corpus Christi everyone!

  2. Thanks for hosting, RAnn. Most of my posts this
week come from other sources, (mainly EWTN) but always with at least a few of my own words.
I also blogged about my Rosary Art Collection,
described Winky's reaction to seeing Fr. Mark
on the computer, and, of course, posted my weekly
    book list.

  3. RAnn, thanks for hosting. This is my 104th participation in Sunday Snippets. That makes over two years considering the few Sundays I skipped. It's so worthwhile to be a part of your meme.

  6. Wow! A humble Latin teacher doesn't post here for a couple of weeks thanks to end-of-school busyness, and the whole look changes. Very nice! I like the banner graphic and love the blue background.

My posts this week include a look at the morality of the American shopping mall and the first two in a series of posts of about Christian education. These are rooted in a 1929 encyclical of Pope Pius XI.

    Thanks for hosting, RAnn!

    1. Thanks for the compliment. The photo seemed appropriate for a New Orleans book blogger.

  8. Thank you for the invitation, RAnn :) where can I get more information about the Catholic Bloggers Network? Never heard of you all before.

My post is a simple, smaller-than-normal meditation on a piece of the Byzantine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, a snippet regarding the most holy Mother of God.

    1. Jonathan, I'm not affiliated with the Catholic Blogger's Network. If you see someone with their button on their blog, ask them.

This weekly meme grew out of the now-defunct Catholic Carnival. No one wanted to take over running it as it was such a major endeavor. I created this link-up to take its place.

This week too was a low post week. Only one post, celebrating our 49th anniversary.

  11. Once again, RAnn, thanks so much for hosting us!!

By the way, I really enjoy Taste of Home cookbooks, make me homesick for the old days of real cooking.

    Anyway, God Bless!!!

    1. I'll bet your kids could follow the instructions in that cookbook and voila, homecooked food.
