Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Hello, and welcome to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other. To participate, go to your blog and create a post titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In it, discuss and link to your posts for the week--whether they deal with theology, Catholic living or cute Catholic kids. I'm mostly a book blogger so my posts are generally book reviews, some Catholic, some not. Make sure that post links back here. Once you publish it, come back here and leave a link below.

We also have a yahoogroup; signing up for it will get you one weekly reminder to post.  Click here to sign up.

We've started a Question of the Week portion of this link-up and this week's question is:  Tell us what you like best about your parish.  My Answer?  At this point, I'd say my history with it--my parish is where I married my husband and baptized my babies.  It is where my kids made their First Communion and where two have been confirmed.  It is home.

What did I write about this week?  Well, I reviewed a few romance novels and I wrote about what Pope Francis had to say this week.  How about you?

RAnn, thank you once again for hosting.

Our parish, Sacred Heart of Jesus, is a vibrant parish located in middle of a modern day Corinth. We like it because it is vibrant, active, and brings the heart of Jesus to a modern day Corinth.

My postings for this week are:
    Child-Like Love of God
    To Sustaining Life
    A Short, Beautiful, Powerful Prayer
    All Are Important
    To Perseverance in Faith
    To Courting God

    God Bless,
    To Love and Truth/Michael

  2. What do I like best about the parish? It's far easier to say what I don't like. BUT, I was attracted to it because it consisted of mostly young families. That was a dozen years ago, however, and everyone's grown up! So much so, in fact, that a "Teen Mass" will be offered monthly beginning this Sunday evening.

I'm having car trouble again so I'd appreciate prayer on that. Thank you. Peace.

  3. I won't be participating next week. I'll be out of town and without computer access. Think of it like being up a creek without a paddle. Not quite, but I'll be suffering from blog withdrawal; that's for sure.

  4. My parish's best thing: the number of Catholics there with a evangelical worldview.

  5. Christian, what is an evangelical worldview?

  6. Thanks for hosting, RAnn. My car is ready on Tuesday, so thank you to everyone who said a prayer.

I wrote a quick post about this evening's (first ever) youth mass. It's related to what I like best about the parish!

    Peace
