Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival
Hello, and welcome to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other. To participate, go to your blog and create a post titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In it, discuss and link to your posts for the week--whether they deal with theology, Catholic living or cute Catholic kids. I'm mostly a book blogger so my posts are generally book reviews, some Catholic, some not. Make sure that post links back here. Once you publish it, come back here and leave a link below.
We also have a yahoogroup; signing up for it will get you one weekly reminder to post. Click here to sign up.
Our Question of the Week: What is your favorite movie? Thanks Carol for this week's question. I'm not a movie watcher so I really don't have an answer. However, I am looking forward to seeing Son of God.
This week I didn't blog at all, and barely read anything. I spent last Saturday with my Dad, Sunday selling Girl Scout cookies and even though I was off Tuesday, I just didn't feel like reading. Too much Candy Crush Saga.
Thanks for hosting, RAnn!
ReplyDeleteI love Candy Crush Saga too. Other favorite games are Pet Rescue Saga, Farm Heroes Saga, Bejeweled Blitz, Words With Friends, Saints and Sinners Bingo, Babydow, and, number one on my list, FarmVille!
One of the reasons I don't get involved with online games is because I know once I start I'll never stop!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movies are ones that are inspiring or uplifting, such as "Facing the Giants" and "Life is Beautiful" (although it makes me cry every time!). But one of my all-time favorite movies, and I know it's insane, is "You've Got Mail." Yeah, I know, but it is just one of those 'chick flicks' that I can watch over and over again!
Chinatown.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting - my favorite movie is "It's a Wonderful Life."
ReplyDeleteI blogged another story from February's pilgrimage to Israel with my teenager. Not as dramatic as last week's post, perhaps.
Thanks for hosting, RAnn!
ReplyDeleteSo many movies to choose from, that I'll watch whenever they're on, from Casablanca to Monty Python and the Holy Grail to The Goodbye Girl, the last of which is my usual reply. Really, though, I think my favorite of all favorites is The Princess Bride.
I love movies that make me say "how did they DO that?"... Apollo 13 being one of my all time favorites -- and last year's Gravity moving right up the charts.
ReplyDeleteI tend to like "do over" movies, where characters get a chance to change and become better selves. I love Overboard, and Miss Congeniality, and of course Groundhog Day!
