Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

I'd like to welcome everyone to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other.  To particpate, go to your blog and create an entry titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the past week that you believe would be of interest to Catholic bloggers---whether they are posts reflecting on spiritual matters or posts about antics of Catholic kids, or anything in between.  Come back here and enter the URL of that post into Mr. Linky.  Finally, go visit other participants, and leave comments!  If you want a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.

I spent is morning following that wonderful American tradition: selling Girl Scout Cookies.  We were there for four hours and while I didn't count the cookies, I think we did pretty well.  I was planning to take my youngest out pulling a wagon full of cookies this afternoon, but it ended up storming.  They even cancelled one of the biggest parades of the year today because they didn't want people out in the weather waiting for it.  That was unfortunate for many churches and schools along the route.  Their big fund-raiser is parking cars and serving food before the parade.  Not only did the lose their profit, they probably purchased a lot of food that will not be sold.  Businesses in the area also took a hit.

If you browse around my blog, you'll see a lot of posts published this week--most of them are fluffy romances.  I would like to call your attention to my post about BYU.

  8. Thanks for hosting RAnn! I found your BYU post very interesting. Now if only we'd start doing that in the Catholic Schools. It's sad, we don't get scout cookies that often here. Although, to make up for it we do get scout popcorn.

  11. I forgot about this for a little while. It's so fun to share! I posted about "Inching towards sanity" and my journey so far on disability leave for 3 months with a severely broken ankle.
