I'd like to welcome everyone to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other. To particpate, go to your blog and create an entry titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the past week that you believe would be of interest to Catholic bloggers---whether they are posts reflecting on spiritual matters or posts about antics of Catholic kids, or anything in between. Come back here and enter the URL of that post into Mr. Linky. Finally, go visit other participants, and leave comments! If you want a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.
Another slow week for me. I reviewed a cookbook and a novel. How about you?
Let's all take a minute to pray for the folks in Alabama and Mississippi who suffered losses this week due to the tornado, and all those fearing or experiencing flooding from the Mississippi River.

There is so much to pray for in these days of trial. I join my prayers to yours for all those suffering from horrific storms and tornados. We certainly need Divine Mercy. Come Lord Jesus!
ReplyDeleteI, too, have been praying very much for those affected by the tornado.
ReplyDeleteThis week brings a recipe, some quotes from St. Faustina's diary and a book review.
A blessed Divine Mercy Sunday to everyone. :) (Btw, in case you didn't know, Pope John Paul II is being beatified today!)
Two posts; one of them can actually be read: Altar Boys & Vocations.
ReplyDeleteFollowed by the impenetrable first half of my last catechism class of the year, Wedding Reception.
This week we listened to part of Vivaldi's Gloria, looked at Light Breaking Through the Clouds by Paul Huet, Read Psalm 105 and a verse from Psalm 49.
ReplyDeleteThe week began with a post about heaven and ended with one about hell. I suppose it does not get more broad than that!
ReplyDeleteI only have a post from Easter Sunday about the Glorious Mystery of the Rosary, the Resurrection. But there's an interesting comment from a non-Catholic which I'd love to have some responses to her. I'm still working on one. She said the Blessed Mother had a sister name Salome among other things...
ReplyDeleteThanks once again for hosting, RAnn!
ReplyDeleteThis week, I have a small post, a news article (sad), and my usual book list.
Also shared in my blog, but not linked here, is a post from Desert Nun News. I highly recommend that
you check it out!
Thanks for hosting, RAnn. I have a couple of videos to share and a perspective on the beatification of JP II.
ReplyDeleteYes, we must pray for those who suffered the tornadoes and flooding. People's lives are torn apart by these events. May they come together in the compassion of Christ.
Thanks for hosting RAnn! This week my posts are the Gospels of the days, a strange thing that happened to me at the Science Center, and some news about Narnia
ReplyDeleteGah! My computer deleted a bit of my last comment.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, continuing that last comment, I am also praying for the people caught in those tornados (tornadoes?) My apologies for the double post.
We had a busy week here But I managed to write a bit about Easter, tried some new recipes and learned about the Great Garbage Patch in The Problem with Plastics
ReplyDeleteThanks for your tireless hosting, RAnn!
