Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

I'd like to welcome everyone to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other.  To particpate, go to your blog and create an entry titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the past week that you believe would be of interest to Catholic bloggers---whether they are posts reflecting on spiritual matters or posts about antics of Catholic kids, or anything in between.  Come back here and enter the URL of that post below.  Finally, go visit other participants, and leave comments!  If you want a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.

I'm glad to have everyone here, and just want to remind you that posts linked below should contain a link back here.

This week my Top Ten Tuesday post involved showing off my church pictures from New York City.  I also reviewed a book:  From Atheist to Catholic.

  1. Thanks for hosting, RAnn! Great church photos!
This week I have a link to a Novena in Reparation for Roe vs Wade, some family news, a homily from Fr. Joseph, a link to another puzzle site, a post about a recently discovered "Pippi Longstocking" book, a post about shopping for old books, a new picture in my Rosary Art collection, and, of course, my weekly book list.

This week I'm sharing a fantastic ham and cabbage recipe, some non-fiction books I want to read this year, some traditional weekly and monthly Catholic traditions and finally a reflection of life lessons I've learned through the years. :)

  5. Hi, RAnn. Thanks for hosting!

This week I featured a beautiful painting of a white squirrel and a poem called "Guardian Angel".

Have a great restful week of "ordinary time"!

  6. Hi, RAnn! Thanks again for hosting!

Did quite a bit this week on political topics; but I think the gem of the bunch is a bit I wrote to support Stacy Trasancos on how the atheist meta-narrative influences cosmological physics. Have a great week!

  8. Sorry I am late to the party! I usually link the past week's posts on Sunday, but it didn't happen. On top of that, only one post last week having to do with issues of community and individualism. Second semester just started, I am busy registering students for our state Latin convention and National Latin Exam, prepping to present my persona of a Roman centurion at a middle school (www.romanpersonas.com), and racing to finish a 20,000+ word chapter book for our daughter's birthday. Hope to blog more this week.
