Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Hello, and welcome to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other. To participate, go to your blog and create a post titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In it, discuss and   link to your posts for the week--whether they deal with theology, Catholic living or cute Catholic kids. I'm mostly a book blogger so my posts are generally book reviews, some Catholic, some not. Make sure that post links back here; some folks are forgetting that! Once you publish it, come back here and leave a link below.

We also have a yahoogroup; signing up for it will get you one weekly reminder to post.  Click here to sign up.

This week's Question of the Week:  What is your favorite formal (memorized) prayer? I like The Magnificat.

You can find next week's question by following the link at the top of my blog.

My posts this week include one on how I became a book blogger, one on my pet peeves about other people's blogs, a review of  yet another "which college is for me" manual, two videos of Stephen Colbert and Cardinal Dolan and a review of a book about a woman who found spiritual peace with a community of Benedictine sisters.

  1. My favorite memorized prayer is the Memorare. The pastor of the parish I attended as a child often included this prayer after mass for special intentions. Then, on pilgrimage last fall, we tacked it on after the rosary instead of the prayer to St. Michael. At that point, then, I was pleased that I had the Memorare memorized.

My post this week is some grumbling about the ins and outs of an online Bible study I just joined.

    Thanks for hosting!
