Sunday Snippets Questions of the Week



 While I have written questions for the rest of the year, I'd like to solicit your help in writing questions for next year. You can click here to submit a question. Thanks.

 August 18: Introduce yourself. Some of us have been participating for a long time; others are relative newcomers. Take a minute and briefly tell us about yourself and your blog.

 Sept 6: What is your favorite hymn that you hear/sing at Mass?

 September 13: With which ministries/activities within your parish are you involved?

 September 20: What is your favorite formal (memorized) prayer?

 September 27: Name and link to two Catholic blogs you really enjoy. If the bloggers don't participate in Sunday Snippets, invite them to join us! 

October 4: Tell us what you like best about your parish.

October 11: Share a family sacramental memory--the cute thing the kid said, the cake at the party, your in your wedding dress, the family gathered around the baby--anything is fair game as long as it at least sort of involved a sacrament

October 18: Have you ever tried the Liturgy of the Hours (Divine Office)? Why or why not, and, if so, is it something you pray regularly?

October 25: Do you have any suggestions regarding the Rosary? Books? Audios? Ways to pray it?

November 1: Who is your favorite saint? November 3: What is your favorite non-blog Catholic website?

November 8 : Have you read a book lately that you'd like to recommend to us? Which one and why?

November 15: Do you have any recipe you make for religious reasons--ie to celebrate a religious holiday or to teach kids something about the faith or to help you remember something about your faith or as a prayer?

November 22: For what are you most thankful this year?

November 29:  What do you plan to do for Advent?

December 6:What is your favorite title for Mary, and why?

December 13:  What religious artifacts (statues, pictures, icons, altars, etc) would I find in your home if I stopped in for a visit?

December 20: What spiritual gift do you want for Christmas this year?

December 27: Tell us about your family's Christmas traditions

December 29: Do you have any spiritual New Year's Resolutions?

May 10:  Today is the anniversary of my First Holy Communion (it is also my son's birthday).  Tell us any memories you have of your First Holy Communion (and share photos if you'd like).  Or tell us about your kids' First Communions.

May 17:  My calendar says that today is Armed Forces Day.  How about a shout-out an thanks to family members who have served.

May 27:  What are your plans this summer?

May 31:  May is the month of Mary.  Are there an Marian devotions other than the rosary which you use?

June 7:  What do you think of Catholic schools?  Are they an important part of passing on the faith to the next generation or are they an expense whose usefulness has passed, or something in between?

June 14:  June is the month of the Sacred Heart. Has your family done the Sacred Heart Enthronement?

June 21:  My Right to Life calendar says that the National Right to Life convention is this week in Kentucky.  What do you to do promote Right to Life?

June 28:  Tell us about your pastor.

July 5:  Tell us about a priest (or more) who have been significant in your life

July 12:  Any nun (sister) stories to tell?

July 19:  Were there any religious sisters in your parish when you were growing up?  Are there any now?  Which community (ies)?

July 26:  Do you use facebook?  Do you promote your blog on facebook?  Why or why not?

August 2:  If someone asked you about starting a blog, what advice would you give?

August 9:  School will be starting this week in many places (and may have even started last week).  Do you think school should start this soon, or would you rather see it last longer in the spring? (yea, I'm getting desperate for questions)
