I'd like to welcome everyone to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other. To particpate, go to your blog and create an entry titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the past week that you believe would be of interest to Catholic bloggers---whether they are posts reflecting on spiritual matters or posts about antics of Catholic kids, or anything in between. Come back here and enter the URL of that post below. Finally, go visit other participants, and leave comments!
If you want a weekly reminder to post,
join our yahoogroup. I'm glad to have everyone here, and just want to remind you that posts linked below should contain a link back here.
Only one book review this week--Trauma Plan is a Christian romance.
My baby makes eight tomorrow and today was a very special day for her. I bought her one of those wreaths with veils attached like all the girls were wearing, but she doesn't like stuff in her hair and insisted on wearing my First Communion veil--until we got there at which time she decided she didn't want to wear anything. I convinced her to wear the veil for the photos and entrance procession but when she got up to lead the hand motions for the Alleluia and to actually receive Communion, the veil was in the pew.

God bless.
Thank you!
DeleteThanks for hosting, RAnn! God bless your daughter on her First Holy Communion.
ReplyDeleteThis week, I've reposted the ongoing Novena for a Reversal of the HHS mandate, blogged about the 25th anniversary of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word, shared a few homilies, blogged about my collections, shared a childhood memory, and, of course, posted my weekly book list.
Thanks for joining us
DeleteYour daughter is lovely. I pray that she will grow in her love of Jesus and be an inspiration to others.

DeleteShe's beautiful! This post takes me back to each of my boys' First Communion. I may have to pull out my scrapbooks today and linger over the pictures of them at that precious age.
ReplyDeleteRAnn, what beautiful pictures! Your heart must be overflowing. May she walk every day of her life hand-in-hand with our Lord Jesus.
ReplyDeletePosts this week talk about the Founding Fathers and Classics, Classic vs. contemporary literature, and at the request of a reader a list of must-read Classics.
She's lovely - I can't believe she is 8 years old!! Congratulations to you both.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! She's beautiful. My son, Christopher, also made his first communion last Saturday.
ReplyDelete(PS: I didn't receive an email announcing that the Sunday Snippets post was up and available this week)
I love those pictures! Congratulations! Sorry I'm chiming in late; we had the mother of all weekend busyness, so I'm just now getting around to visits...
