Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Hello, and welcome to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other. To participate, go to your blog and create a post titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In it, discuss and link to your posts for the week--whether they deal with theology, Catholic living or cute Catholic kids. I'm mostly a book blogger so my posts are generally book reviews, some Catholic, some not. Make sure that post links back here. Once you publish it, come back here and leave a link below.

We also have a yahoogroup; signing up for it will get you one weekly reminder to post.  Click here to sign up.

This week our question of the week is:   Have you read a book lately that you'd like to recommend to us? Which one and why?  The latest books I'd recommend are the ones I mentioned last week:   Wings of Glass and The Sea Glass Sisters and a modern-day retelling of The Scarlet Letter called The Outcast.

I am going to be out of Questions of the Week at the end of the year.  Do you like this feature?  If so, please click here to suggest some questions.

This hasn't been a big blogging week for me.  All I wrote were Seven Quick Takes on the Common Core.

  1. RAnn, thanks for hosting! I do love the questions you give us. I will try to think of some suggestions for more. God bless!

  2. Thank you RAnn for hosting. The book I just finished is "Liberty Amendments: by Mark Levin, I highly recommend it for Americans feeling powerless in the face of Big Government and the way it's stepping on religious liberty and conscience and constitutional rights.

  3. Hi RAnn, I've done very little blogging over the last few months but your email came in at the right time. I just finished posting about our public rosary rally today and thought to share it with your group. I pray others also, prayed in the public square or at home for the conversion of America.

  4. Thanks for hosting, RAnn! I didn't blog much this week, either. Most of the writing I did was fan fiction. That is the subject of one of my posts. I'm also sharing the latest addition to my Rosary Art Collection, and, of course, my book list.

I am reading the true story of Mother Dorothy Hart - Actress turned Cloistered Nun! The Ear of the Heart. It is a marvelous story of faith and interesting behind the scenes movie trivia! Hope you enjoy it.

  6. Look at what Cardinal Dolan says about the Rosary. He says it contains everything: Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, the Apostles Creed.
