I got on a roll last Sunday and tried recipes from three cookbooks, and reviewed the cookbooks. They are: The Clinton Street Baking Company, James Beard's American Cookery, and The Family Dinner. I'm giving away a copy of The Family Dinner, so be sure to enter.
Last Saturday I had a wonderful day of being with old and new friends and I blogged about it.
I reviewed Letters to Ethan, a book that would make a good graduation or confirmation gift. Finally, I posted a blog tour, which includes the first chapter, of Kathleen Basi's Advent book, Joy to the World. Kathleen is a regular here at Sunday Snippets and if you have young kids, I highly recommend her book.

Hi RAnn, thanks for hosting. I see you are into cookbooks again - they are my downfall! Recipes are fun.
ReplyDeleteA "post" which is the mp3 audio of the class which corresponds to one of last week's posts, "Dry Ground."
ReplyDeleteFor insomniacs and the terminally bored....
snorrg...
snorrg...huh!? What!? Oops, I nodded off myself just thinking about it.
Can't believe it's time to post snippets again. Time must fly when there's so much to read and enjoy. Thank you RAnn for being our host.
ReplyDeleteI didn't write much this week: a reflection on the Saints, an Hallelujah anticipation of the holiday season soon to break out and sadly the tragic news of the martyrs of Baghdad.
Thank you RAnn. I hope my fellow posters are well. Just one post this week. It is heartfelt and to the point.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the week flying by. In fact, it seems every week flies by too fast! As I get older, it seems that time accelerates.
ReplyDeleteI missed Sunday Snippets last week, but I'm back!
Evan
I love Advent! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThis week's theme at the Well was death and resurrection.
Hooray, my second week of doing this. Just one post this week though. Must strive to write more!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, RAnn!
ReplyDeleteThanks RAnn, as usual!
ReplyDeleteLuuk Dominiek OP
Comic book superheroes, mid-term elections, the gay agenda and parenting, Protestant/Catholic ecclesiology...all that and, well, just all that this week!
ReplyDeleteI see I'm not the only one who had a week fly by! I almost forgot to put my Sunday Snippets post up. lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks once again for for hosting RAnn. One of my favorite things about Sundays is reading everyone's snippets. :)
I wasn't as productive as I would have liked to have been, but I did have time to transcribe another entry from my hand written Iraq war journal onto my blog. That is my featured post of the week.
ReplyDeleteThe readings this week followed up on All Saint's Day with glimpses of what it takes to get to heaven. Stop by www.momsdevotional.blogspot.com and take a peek at how moms can be saints!
ReplyDeleteA post at "Zeal" for Catholics who are in pain...
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, RAnn!
