My Review: The Sneakiest Pirates
My little one has really been enjoying The Sneakiest Pirates and another book by the same author, seven year old Dalton James. In The Sneakiest Pirates, Peg-leg Chuck, a pirate who has a hook for an arm, rather than a peg-leg, steals gold from the king and buries it on an island. Pirate Pete and his daddy Scurvy James see Chuck run off. While he is on the island, they go to his ship and steal all his stuff. When Chuck gets back to his ship, the king starts chasing him. Pete and James go dig up Chuck's treasure, fight over it and finally decide to share it. They head home to become rock stars.
Who is the author? Dalton James, age 7. If you'd like to see/read an interview with Dalton, click here.
As with James' other book, The Heroes of Googley Woogley, though Amazon lists the reading level as ages 9-12, I'd recommend the book for ages 4-6.
