The Lumby Lines was the first book I got this week. Thanks to the folks at FSB Media.
Saint Patrick (Christian Encounters Series) came to me via Thomas Nelson's Book Sneeze program. It will be interesting to see how this Protestant publisher handles a book about a Catholic saint.
To see what the mail brought others, check out the host post at The Printed Page.
I received St Patrick as well
ReplyDeleteHi, I was curious to find out how you get books sent to you?
ReplyDeleteThanks, and happy reading!
Jeanne
Hi Jeanne,
ReplyDeleteI see you are a new blogger, so welcome to the world of book blogging. If you read Mailbox Monday posts throughout the blogosphere, you'll see lots of people mentioning where they got their books. My post said I got mine from the Thomas Nelson Book Sneeze program and from FSB Media. If you Google either one of those you can find their websites and request books. The Thomas Nelson program is open to any book blogger; I'm not sure what FSB requires. Also, if you click on my tab for Blog Review groups, you'll see badges for some of the groups I review for. If you click on them, you can see what they promote and if interested, apply.
Make sure your blog has contact information, and do a good job with your reviews--which doesn't mean saying that junk is great, but it does mean saying more than "I hate it". If you review a book you got from the library or bookstore and you loved it, send the author an email (chances are you can find a website via google)--s/he may offer you more books.
