This week I had an all-expense paid trip to Houston for the BP hearings so needless to say, not much blogging got done.  It was tour date for two children's books:  The Berenstain Bears and a Job Well Done and That's Where God Is (tour) and review.

I relied quite a bit on video clips this week! (Is that lazy blogging?)

  6. A blessed Sunday to you all!

As usual, I have a bunch of unrelated posts; notably, I shared my solution to dealing with my 5 year old's not-so-great behavior. :)

  7. Roman philosopher Seneca, social networking, youth ministry, the role of men in discipling young people, and Muslim relations in this country...all available in this week's Sunday Snippets!

    Thanks, RAnn!

  8. I am so, so tired because of many things, especially my health, that I didn't post a thing this week. But I have enjoyed what other Sunday Snippets participants have posted. Maybe next week will be better. Thanks for the Sunday Snippets hosting, RAnn.

  11. Kathleen, I'm a paralegal and my boss is representing one of the "parties of interest"--someone the board thinks it's possible they'll bring charges against. He was testifying Thursday so we've been prepping all week. My boss was there all week and had me come over Wed and Thursday--but I wasn't able to get home until Friday due to the late hour. A trip to Houston and all I saw was the inside of a (nice) hotel.

  12. Kathleen, I didn't ask because I knew Ruth's job.... sometimes she gets to work on "fun" cases :)
Of course with 3 children, the all expense paid vacation is probably just work since there is all that prep to leave for a few days and then all the work to come home to... but Ruth is an expert at balancing family and job

Join me this week for the second article in the As For Me And My House series.

They say that duct tape isn’t a valid parenting style. My question is: have they ever had a 3 year old? I have, and I question this wisdom.

Nib is our impish 3 year-old little girl. She is the size of a pixie and as clever as a fox. She runs and skips around the house taking delight in every little thing. Most of what she does is unbearably cute, and she’ll tell you so. “I cute!”
But then there are times … oh, yes, there are times …
