Book Blogger Hop
This week's question: Were you a born bookworm or somebody got you into the habit of reading?(sic)
I was definitely born a bookworm, or at least became one very early in life. I remember my parents reading to me and I remember wanting to go to first grade so I could learn to read for myself. It took a couple of weeks, but I got it,and have never looked back. I always had my library books read the day I brought them home (but we were only allowed 2 per week until I was in junior high, and then it was two at a time). Of course in the summer I could get a reasonable number from the public library (as many as I could carry home of course).

I'm a librarian, and I always love it when someone asks me how many books they can check out --- because I can tell them, "as many as you can carry!" And we have some carrying baskets, so people can grab even more. :)
ReplyDeleteReading to your child definitely helps them when they get to school. I read constantly to my son, and all worked out well.
ReplyDeleteENJOY your day!!
I wasn't born a bookworm, but read my full answer at the link below if you like.
Happy Hopping!!
