My favorite Christmas tradition is putting away the purple and rose of Advent and bringing out the red and green on the 24th. I like beginning Christmas on the day it begins, getting dressed in fancy clothes for midnight mass, having a fancy dinner before mass, and putting out the luminaries to welcome Jesus into our home. ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas tradition was/is my dad sitting and reading the story of the incarnation from St. Luke as we all gathered around the Christmas tree. Now my next younger brother does it. After the reading we get to open our presents.

ReplyDeletePeople over the years have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season. The Nativity and what Jesus gave to each and every one of us...eternal life...is the true meaning of Christmas! It's what Christmas is all about.
