Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Hello, and welcome to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other. To participate, go to your blog and create a post titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In it, discuss and link to your posts for the week--whether they deal with theology, Catholic living or cute Catholic kids. I'm mostly a book blogger so my posts are generally book reviews, some Catholic, some not. Make sure that post links back here. Once you publish it, come back here and leave a link below.

We also have a yahoogroup; signing up for it will get you one weekly reminder to post.  Click here to sign up.

Today I spent the morning selling Girl Scout cookies.  After ten years, I have to admit, it has lost its allure; however it is good for the girls to earn money to do what they want to do.  Tomorrow my family is getting together to celebrate by Dad's 84th birthday.  There was a while this fall I didn't think I'd see this day come, so we can thank God for this year with Dad.  This week also marked seven years since my Mom passed away.  I still miss her; I guess I always will.

Only one post since we last got to together:  Grave Consequences is a historical Christian romance, and the tour gives you a chance to win a mini-I-Pad.

  1. Busy days. We already feel overwhelmed by the Boy Scout popcorn sales; can't imagine what it must be like hawking cookies!

  2. Thanks for hosting, RAnn!
This week, I have several news items, the latest additions to my Rosary Art Collection, a beautiful Eucharistic Prayer, links to some of my latest fan fiction, and, of course, my weekly book list.

  3. Thanks for hosting RAnn. This is my 136th week of participating in your meme. Not sure what that qualifies me for, but it sure is fun and I'm really grateful for your faithful hosting.

Hope you had great success with the Girl Scout cookie sale.

  5. Thanks for hosting.

Are any of RAnn's readers praying for the retired pope during the canon at mass? We aren't and it seems a strange omission.

I wrote a quick post about the impact the Roman sede vacante and the cardinals' conclave may have on a pilgrimage the local Catholic radio station is sponsoring to Rome.

Please pray for all the pilgrims.
