Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

I'd like to welcome everyone to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other.  To particpate, go to your blog and create an entry titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the past week that you believe would be of interest to Catholic bloggers---whether they are posts reflecting on spiritual matters or posts about antics of Catholic kids, or anything in between.  Come back here and enter the URL of that post below.  Finally, go visit other participants, and leave comments!  If you want a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.

Not much posting for me this week.  I reviewed a novel about a troubled teen, a cookbook,  and a medical thriller.

Please say a prayer for me-I have a sore throat and don't feel good.  I had planned to spend part of the weekend talking to my dictation unit, making up some time at work, but right now talking to that machine is the last thing I want to do.

  1. My voice is on the way out, too, so I feel great empathy with your plight. This will be the third time in 6 weeks for me. Curse you, third trimester!

  2. Thanks for hosting, RAnn.
Sorry about your throats, RAnn and
This week, I'm doing something different: listing my posts by category.

  3. I'm sorry about your sore throat. Perhaps a cup of hot herbal tea will soothe it.

Kate and RAnn, I hope you feel better soon. Thanks for hosting, RAnn...

  5. I hope you feel better, RAnn.

This week's theme at The Well was Memento Mori in honor of our beloved dead.

I also wrote a post called "The Gift of Doubt."

  6. Thanks for hosting again! Sounds like you need some hot tea for that throat.

  7. Prayers going up that you feel better soon, RAnn (and Kathleen)!

  8. I certainly pray for your speedy recovery, RAnn!

This week's posts included an encounter with a true gentlemen, further evidence that sola scriptura does not hold water, proof that I am an Islamic infidel, and clear evidence that I am not homophobic. All that and more!

  9. I'll send prayers your way. Sore throats are no fun. Thanks for hosting even though you don't feel good.

  10. Wow! I haven't been around here in a very long time, but I'm glad to see that some of my old favorites are still around. I hope your throat has given you a break, RAnn. I'm rather prone to sore throats, so I have felt your pain. :)

My October was tough, but I managed to prepare for All Souls' Day properly and even work on a plenary indulgence, which you can read about in my post for this week.
