Montana Glory: Review with Giveaway

Montana GloryMontana Glory is the third book in the McCord family trilogy.  Since I loved Montana Destiny and Montana Legacy (reviews at Montana Legacy and Montana Destiny)  I was thrilled when Hachette offered review copies of Montana Glory to bloggers.

To reprise, Coot, who owned a huge ranch in Montana died.  In his will, he stated that if his three grandsons returned to the ranch and stayed there, and searched for the family treasure, they would share in it.  The first two books married off the first two cousins, now it is Zane's turn.  Zane is gun-shy about marriage because his parents were unhappy together and his mother insisted that the family move from the ranch he loved to Hollywood, which for a long time, he did not.  Eventually he entered the business, but is now back on the ranch.

The leading lady is Riley, a single mom of a four year old.  She is hired to clean up the paperwork at the ranch, and the job includes room and board.  We learn early on that she is hiding from something, we just don't know what.  Sparks fly between her and Zane from the very beginning.....

It's a romance novel, do I have to spell it out?  Like the other books, there is a bad guy and a scene where the McCord guys rescue the girl and everyone lives happily ever--you can't tell me that's a spoiler, it is exactly how you'd expect a book like this to end.

I enjoyed Montana Glory and recommend it if you like romance novels.  It is a mass-market book.  There is one intimate scene.  It happens before marriage and I'd rate it as moderately graphic.

Giveaway:  Hachette is allowing me to give away five copies of Montana Glory.  To enter:
1. For your first entry, leave a comment with your name and email address.

Montana Destiny

Montana Destiny Anna Ballasi, the publicist from Hachette Books who sent me Montana Legacy asked bloggers to submit questions for an interview she was conducting.  You can hear the interview here.  She bribed us by offering us a stack of books if one of our questions was chosen.  I won--she ended up using two of my questions.  Therefore I got to read Montana Destiny before most folks.

Montana Destiny is the story of Wyatt McCord, cousin of Jesse, of Montana Legacy.  Wyatt was a world traveler and seeker before returning to the ranch after his grandfather died.  The female lead is Marilee Trainor, the local EMT and private pilot.  She is a military brat who was dragged all over the world and wants nothing more than to settle down somewhere.  She is also the child of a very critical man, and a mother who could not make any decisions on her own.  Merilee is determined to be independent.  She and Wyatt are attracted to each other....

There is also a bad guy, but in the end....

Yea, I liked the book.  It was a fun read, with a little more story than what many romances have.  There were a couple of bedroom scenes but they left a lot to the imagination.
