Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

I'd like to welcome everyone to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other.  To particpate, go to your blog and create an entry titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the past week that you believe would be of interest to Catholic bloggers---whether they are posts reflecting on spiritual matters or posts about antics of Catholic kids, or anything in between.  Come back here and enter the URL of that post below.  Finally, go visit other participants, and leave comments!  If you want a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.

I'm glad to have everyone here, and just want to remind you that posts linked below should contain a link back here.

This has been a slow blogging week as I am now out of town working on a trial, so my last week in town was busy at work too.  I did post an interview with Sunday Snippets regular Ellen Gable Hrkach, in which we talked about self-publishing and digital publishing.

  1. Thank you so much for hosting, RAnn!
This week, I have a couple of prayer requests,
a few posts about, and additions to, my collections, a quote from
Monday's First Reading, with my own comment,
a post about the death of Davy Jones (one of my great loves as a young teenager!), a post about how the original manuscript of "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn" was very different from the published version, and, of course, my weekly book list.

  2. Thanks for hosting, RAnn, and thanks again for the interview!

  3. RAnn, good luck at the trial!

  4. Hi, RAnn! This week, I've got 2 posts about the HSS Mandate, a poem by St. Francis, a post on St. John Cassian, and a Lenten meditation video.

  5. Yes, good luck with the trial, RAnn!

Only one post this week, thanks to a problem with the company that hosts my website causing my blog to be down...

  6. The usual Catechism-class posts.

  7. Thanks for hosting! Great interview with Ellen!

  8. Two posts this week, one about spiritual attack and the modern age and the other about what Odysseus and Aeneas show us about the complexities of man.

  9. although not Catholic, I have a great book giveaway on my blog.
I also have a Catholic review which I"ll link up after Mass

  10. I'm interested as to what you're doing at the trial--are you on jury? (If you don't mind sharing!)

    1. I'm a paralegal and one of our clients is on trial starting Monday. It's a criminal case. Without going into anything about the case, I'll tell you he is always nice to me and has three young kids, so please pray for him and his family.
