Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Hello, and welcome to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other. To participate, go to your blog and create a post titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In it, discuss and link to your posts for the week--whether they deal with theology, Catholic living or cute Catholic kids. I'm mostly a book blogger so my posts are generally book reviews, some Catholic, some not. Make sure that post links back here. Once you publish it, come back here and leave a link below.

We also have a yahoogroup; signing up for it will get you one weekly reminder to post.  Click here to sign up.

Well, I'm back in the reviewing groove.  This week I published the following reviews:
Jesus of Nazareth:  The Infancy Narratives  by Pope Benedict XVI.  Need I say more?
The Air We Breathe:  Did not finish

  1. Wow, you put the link up early this week! As always, thanks for hosting.

This week I posted a book review of a Catholic suspense novel and posed a question about trusting God.

    1. Since this fall I have been going to my dad's house, an hour and a half away and taking him to Mass and getting dinner for him. As a result, this goes up before I leave or after I get home.

  2. I was going to comment on the early link, too--caught it by accident, and very happy since we're going out this evening. :)

I'm working on the copy of the Infancy Narratives I won from you. :)

  3. Thank you hostess, RAnn.

This week I posted two poems, a slide show of Landscape Dreams Photo winners, and a re-blog of a Christian-Muslim dialogue.

Hope the year has begun well for all of you.

1.Who Needs a Teddy Bear When You have Got a Teddy Baby?

I would wrap the newborn tightly in a warm blanket and let each child cuddle up to a living and breathing teddy baby.

    2.THE TEETER-TOTTER SYNDROME

When one partner is down, the other pops up, balancing their relationship.

This week's posts include several homilies from Fr. Wade Menezes, a couple of news articles, a new addition to my Rosary Art Collection, and, of course, my weekly book list.

  9. Year-end busyness kept me from blogging for a few weeks, but I am back now with a couple of posts. One has to do with the Ohio football team's degradation of women seen in contrast to a classic piece of literature. The other has to with a song I heard this Christmas about the Incarnation.

    Thanks for hosting, RAnn!
