Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

I'd like to welcome everyone to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other.  To particpate, go to your blog and create an entry titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the past week that you believe would be of interest to Catholic bloggers---whether they are posts reflecting on spiritual matters or posts about antics of Catholic kids, or anything in between.  Come back here and enter the URL of that post below.  Finally, go visit other participants, and leave comments!  If you want a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.

Not much blogging here this week, but I do tell you how to find free ebooks.  How about you?

  4. Nothing beats another birthday!

One penetential-length post about the pitfalls of using bad Bible translations.

One shortie that's not explicitly Catholic, but may show evidence of a Catholic imagination at work.

Happy Birthday, RAnn. Two new poems this week, along with a tribute to my favorite college professor. God bless!

  10. Happy Birthday, RAnn! This week contributions were about a Roman legion re-enactment and the person I would most like to meet. This last will be of interest to all Protestants, Catholics, and fans of John Donne, and no, the answer the person I'd most like to meet is not John Donne.

  11. Happy Birthday, RAnn! I've got 2 weeks worth of posts for Sunday Snippets.

We've got a beautifully simple water color and an oil painting called Wedding Cards, 2 beautiful poems, I am a Fountain and To a Husband, a prayer for control of the tongue and a video of 2 friars bringing the Eucharist to the streets of England.

  13. This week I respond to a BustedHalo blog post regarding the U.S. flag in church.

I'm a little late to the game this week, but I successfully posted about last week before submitting this week, so that's something, right?

  14. I'm late, too, with my post about a session of Little Rock Scripture Study on the Acts of the Apostles. Peace.

  15. I'm very late but just finished a 18 hour drive from a beautiful Catholic wedding in Boulder. Last week I had the opportunity of praying with 100 men outside of a porn shop, it was beautiful.
