Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Happy Father's Day to all dads out there.  I'm blessed that my dad is still with us, and still in pretty good health.  Hopefully he'll be around long enough for the younger grandkids (born while he was in his seventies) to remember him.

I wrote some book reviews this week but nothing related to Catholicism.  This cookbook review features two of my three kids, so I'll brag on it.    Check out some of my other reviews while you are here.

Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival is a chance for Catholic bloggers to share their best posts with each other.  To participate, go to your blog and create a post titled "Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival".  In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the week--whether they deal with Catholicism, or with cute Catholic kids.  Add a link back here and publish.  Then come back here and add a link to Mr. Linky.  Then go visit everybody else, and leave comments so they'll know you've been there.

If you want a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.

  1. Wrote a bit about the winged creatures inhabiting our church, and took a photo of the rain from our bedroom window.

  2. Thanks RAnn,
Also, we started a new website, which will hopefully be a place with lots of reflections, papers and video's about our faith in the near future.

  3. RAnn, I really like your new blog theme. Thanks for getting us all together. I like touching base with other Catholic bloggers. That carrot pie sounds delicious. I am going to have to try it.

Ditto Barbara's remark about providing this spot for us to get together... and about the carrot pie too!

Can you send me one? :-)

  5. Love your new blog design! Thanks for hosting this every week! Read your review on the "Fix-It and Forget It Cookbook." Sounds great -- will have my kids try it out!

  6. This weeks posts included two about philosophy, one about Dante and Vergil, and a rant about the state of modern bookstores. Happy Fathers' Day to all!

  7. Thank you and God Bless all the Fathers today!! I created and run a Catholic weight loss group and even with God on our side, sometimes it is easy to give up on a healthy lifestyle. So my entry highlights NEVER giving up.

  8. Carrot pie? I'm going to have to try that! Blessings to everyone!

  9. Busy week with VBS so very little blogging.. buy my middle dd writes for our local paper so I included a link to that posting
