Mailbox Monday

Happy Independence Day.  I'm enjoying an extra day off from work, which means more time to read.  This week I actually paid for two of the three books the mailman brought.
Married by Morning (Hathaways, Book 4)Married by Morning (Hathaways, Book 4) was a fun read--a basic trashy romance, not, IMO one of Kleypas' better efforts, but if you are fond of the Hathaway clan, you'll enjoy seeing Leo and Catherine finally realize that the spark between them is what makes sparks fly whenever they are together.

Offerings: A Love StoryOfferings: A Love Story is a Catholic love story.  Like most self-published books it lacks a certain polish, but still, I enjoyed it and reviewed it.
Seeker, The: A NovelSeeker, The: A Novel is about a pampered rich girl who takes refuge in a Shaker village when her wicked stepmother wants to sell her favorite slave.  It is for a blog tour July 25 but I'll tell you now that I enjoyed it.

To see what other folks have gotten this week, see Mailbox Monday at The Printed Page.

The Offerings has a stunning cover. I love clouds like this. They give me fond memories of my mom.

  6. The Seeker looks good to me. I'll have to put it on my wish list. I've been enjoying Amish stories so I am thinking I would enjoy this book also.
