Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

I'd like to welcome everyone to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other.  To particpate, go to your blog and create an entry titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the past week that you believe would be of interest to Catholic bloggers---whether they are posts reflecting on spiritual matters or posts about antics of Catholic kids, or anything in between.  Come back here and enter the URL of that post into Mr. Linky.  Finally, go visit other participants, and leave comments!  If you want a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.

Well, the intrepid Girl Scout Daisies are back home after a night at camp.  By midnight they were all in their mom's sleeping bags--it was cold.  Still, yesterday during the day was beautiful and we had a great time.  With getting ready for the trip, and real life, I didn't get much reading or blogging done.  What about you?

  1. Sounds like you had a good time -- despite the cold! God bless you and the Daisies, and thanks for hosting.

  2. I just got back from Mass...said hello to George Weigel! How cool is that?

Besides that celebrity moment, I have two posts.

The first, "Cannibals," finishes the last week's class "Pizza Buffet" on John 6.

The next post "Binder than Blind" is the recap of this week's class, mostly on John 9

  4. Thank you dear host, RAnn.U'm happy your adventure with the girls went off well and was fun. I'm sure they'll remember it and the cold temps for which they now have bragging rights.

I'm sharing this weeks poetic attempts.

  5. Glad you got back in one piece!

This week, we listened to John Michael Talbot's Prayer of St. Theresa, Dame Judi Dench reading Elizabeth Barrett Browning and looked at some Ancient art. I wrote 2 posts, Modern Culture--The Narcissistic Legacy and Catholic--An Immigrant in One's Own Country.

This week was also the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and our Scripture Saturday was about Living as Christ.

  9. Brrrr.... Much too cold for camping, R'Ann. Though I suppose this weekend was much nicer than last!

Two posts this week. That seems to be about my quota lately. One about confession and one just a quick summary of an ordinary week in my ordinary life.

  10. Facebook, the amorality of today's undergraduates, our son and contemporary Christian music, sola scriptura, and the definition of "church"...all that and more in last week's posts! Thanks to all for stopping by, and to RAnn for hosting!
