Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

I'd like to welcome everyone to Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  We are a group of Catholic bloggers who gather weekly to share our best posts with each other.  To particpate, go to your blog and create an entry titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival.  In it, highlight one or more of your posts from the past week that you believe would be of interest to Catholic bloggers---whether they are posts reflecting on spiritual matters or posts about antics of Catholic kids, or anything in between.  Come back here and enter the URL of that post below.  Finally, go visit other participants, and leave comments!  If you want a weekly reminder to post, join our yahoogroup.

I don't have any particularly Catholic posts this week, but I did read one book I'd really recommend if you like romance novels:  Blue Skies Tomorrow is set during WWII and I found it to be very well done.  What about you?

  3. Thanks once again for hosting, RAnn!
This week, I have a prayer request, a childhood memory, a post about bad moods, a post about the earthquake,
and, of course, my weekly book list.

  4. Two posts.

Shebna Shrugged is way Catholic with some supporting data on Peter's keys.

Too Flat a Pyramid...well, let me say that Paul McCartney was baptized Catholic.

  6. I reviewed a CAtholic book this week but it hasn't yet been approved so I can't publish it. But I did read a book by a young woman raised Catholic - don't know if she still practices her faith or not

  7. The week started with posts about art and contemplative space vs. social action. The week ended with a series of posts about the dying and death of my father-in-law.

Thanks to all the readers and commenters out there.

  8. I wrote a post on separation of Church and State, and added my history term paper (a great crowd pleaser on Facebook) from a while ago since I otherwise would have linked to only one post.

  9. Sorry I'm late this weekend, RAnn!

This week we read an Emily Dickinson poem, listened to a Mass setting from the new translation, looked at a painting called Morning Mist at Nagarkot and read a reflection about keeping our oil lamps filled.

Hi RAnn! Thanks for the invitation! I didn't know how to link to just one blog post to here, so everyone please just read my FIRST blog to find out more about who I am. I'm new to blogging, not sure how to format things, but there ya have it! God Bless everyone on here! I'm headed to Mass, I'll keep everyone in my prayers!

  11. Thank you for the invitation, but I didn't have any specifically Catholic posts this week - just posts on marriage and pregnancy (you can tell what's on my mind - pregnancy seems to block everything else out of my head!). I hope to participate next week! And I look forward to reading posts by the other contributers.

  13. RAnn, you do such a wonderful job bringing us all together each week! I've taken a bit of a blogging break these last few weeks so I haven't participated recently. I plan to do so soon! God Bless!
