It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

It's Monday, What Are You Reading is hosted at Book Journey.  Stop by and see what book bloggers are reading this week.
It has been a busy week here for reading and blogging.

I have reviews up for four books (click title to read review):

The Search is an Amish novel and the author is running an I-Pad giveaway.

A Place of Peace is also an Amish novel; I got it from the library.

Pearl in the Sand is a Christian novel about Rahab, the Canaanite harlot who was an ancestor of Jesus.  I got it via Net Galley.

I also read two books whose reviews will be posted later:

The Dressmaker of Khair Khana: Five Sisters, One Remarkable Family, and the Woman Who Risked Everything to Keep Them SafeThe Dressmaker of Khair Khana: Five Sisters, One Remarkable Family, and the Woman Who Risked Everything to Keep Them Safe was the fascinating story of how, during the rule of the Taliban, one young woman managed to start a dressmaking business that not only kept her family from starving, but also gave income to many other women.  It will be published in March and my review will appear closer to that time.  However, I will say I loved it.  I got it from Net Galley.
His Other Wife: A Novel

His Other Wife: A Novel is from Hachette and my review will be up soon.  It is about a divorced couple, and his new wife and how their relationship changes as they have to pull together when tragedy strikes their son.

Yarn: Remembering the Way Home
I'm in the middle of Yarn: Remembering the Way Home, a memoir by a woman raised in Japan who left her home and family to come to the US where she finally learned to do something her home ec teacher had failed to teach her to do:  Knit.  She uses knitting as a metaphor for life.  So far I'm enjoying it.  It came from Net Galley

As far as what's next, well I have a Kindle full of Net Galleys and Amazon freebies and a bookshelf full of TBRs, and no particular reviews due this week, so I'm just going to read what strikes my fancy.

  2. I didn't know Pearl in the Sand was on NetGalley! Oh well, I'm glad I have a copy cause I've already loaned it out to people and more want to read it. It's one of those books that I know a lot of people who will love it.
I saw some other familiar titles on your list. Some that I was offered for review but turned down because I'm too overwhelmed with books.
