Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival

Hi, and welcome to another edition of Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. We are a group of bloggers who gather once each week to share out best posts. We are all Catholic and blog at least somewhat about Catholic things; some do so exclusively, others only periodically. All are welcome to participate here. To join in the fun, go to your blog and create a post titled Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. In that post describe and link to any posts you want to share with the rest of us. Also put in a link to this post. Then come back here, and sign Mr. Linky and give us a link to your post. Finally, go visit other people's posts, and leave comments! Some folks who don't post often have asked if they could, rather than creating a special "Sunday Snippets" post, just link thier original post to Mr. Linky. That's ok, if your original post includes a link back here; since the idea is to share our posts and readers with each other. Encourge your readers to join us too.

If you are joining us for the first time, welcome. If you want a weekly reminder to post, please join our yahoo group. You'll only get one email per week.

My kids go back to school Monday, so this has been a week of meetings, gather supplies, shopping for uniforms and everything else that happens at this time to year. For that reason, and maybe a little because of burn-out, I haven't read as much this week as what I normally do. I did review a Toddler Bible.

  1. RAnn, Thanks as always for hosting. Hope your kids have a great school year. Like the new blog look!

  2. Hi RAnn--like your new look. My posts this week are about a vatican-based survey to US women religious and getting back to Intelligent Design Theory. Thanks so much!

  3. Great new layout, RAnn!

    Trying to enjoy what is left of our summer and still get things ready for a new homeschool year, so blogging has been light. Just a few things to share this week and I hope I am not too late in alerting you to the worldwide rosary on Sunday, August 16, 2009.

    Thanks, RAnn!

  4. It was a slow week for me in northern AL - we dropped my dd off at college last Saturday (blogged about that) and then we started our first week of the new school year. I guess I need to blog about the new homeschool year soon.

  5. Thanks- I will definitely do more research on St. Gianna.

  6. RAnn, I like the new layout -- very clean!
    This week on Sunday Snippets, WBN asks: what do you do in your off hours? For us it's Hobby Time.

    Even Catholics play from time to time ...

    * Homebrew Chapter 2: Dark Wheat
    * Bicylces and Bling
    * Still Life With Cameraphone
    * Overheard In My House

  7. P.S. I like the new look, too.

  8. Hi, I got your comment on my blog about - Louisiana: What the Bayou Saw

    I don't think I have a Louisiana book yet. I will double check and if I don't, I will use that one! Thanks so much!
